Crowd.Dental provides a cooperative dental care funding platform. The information on this website and any associated materials is provided for general informational purposes only and is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, medical, legal, or financial advice. You should consult with a licensed dentist or qualified professional regarding any specific dental or healthcare needs.
Crowd.Dental does not make medical diagnoses or guarantee treatment outcomes.
Not an Insurance Provider
Crowd.Dental is not licensed by any state insurance regulatory body and does not sell insurance products. Participation in the Crowd.Dental platform does not create an insurance policy or entitlement to care.
All contributions are voluntary and funding decisions are based on member cooperation and community participation. Treatment cost coverage is not guaranteed.
No Provider-Patient Relationship with Crowd.Dental
While Crowd.Dental connects members to approved dental providers, it does not provide healthcare services and is not responsible for the actions, diagnoses, treatment decisions, or outcomes provided by any dentist or clinic.
All clinical services are the sole responsibility of the licensed dental professionals involved. Members are encouraged to ask questions, obtain second opinions, and understand their treatment options before proceeding.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crowd.Dental, its owners, officers, affiliates, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with:

Use or inability to use the website, tools, or services

Delays or failures in treatment funding

Interactions with providers or other members
All services are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
By using this website and/or participating in the Crowd.Dental membership program, you agree that:

All disputes, claims, or controversies arising from or relating to your use of the platform shall be exclusively resolved in the state or federal courts located in Austin, Texas.

You waive any objection to jurisdiction or venue in these courts, including on the basis of forum non conveniens.
Disputes will first be submitted in writing to Crowd.Dental support for internal resolution. If unresolved, both parties agree to pursue binding arbitration in Austin, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
No Warranties or Guarantees
Crowd.Dental makes no warranties regarding the availability, continuity, or funding of dental treatment, the amount or timing of member contributions, or the results of the cooperation rating system. No language on this site shall be interpreted as a guarantee of service, coverage, or financial reimbursement.

Terms & Conditions - The Basics

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your membership with Crowd.Dental, a private dental care cooperative. By joining as a member and paying the monthly membership fee, you agree to the following:
1. Membership Overview
Crowd.Dental is not insurance. It is a private membership-based platform designed to provide access to dental care funded through community contribution and cooperation.
Your membership grants access to:

Community-funded treatment support

A cooperation rating system to track participation
2. Fees and Contributions
2.1 Membership Fee
Members agree to pay $45/month to maintain active status. This fee is non-refundable and covers platform access, administrative support, and operational costs.
2.2 Initial Treatment Payment
Members are responsible for paying the first $300 of any approved treatment. Treatment will not proceed until this initial portion is paid directly to the provider.
2.3 Community Contributions
Remaining treatment costs are shared among members. You may be invited to contribute to other members’ care. Contributions are voluntary, but participation affects your cooperation rating (see Section 5).
3. Treatment and Provider Network
3.1 Approved Providers Only
Treatment must be received from a Crowd.Dental-approved provider. We do not cover care performed by non-network or self-selected providers.
3.2 Provider Autonomy
All clinical decisions are made by licensed providers. Crowd.Dental does not interfere with diagnosis, treatment planning, or provider discretion.
3.3 No Guarantee of Treatment
Crowd.Dental does not guarantee funding or access to any specific treatment. While we aim to facilitate care through community funding, actual funding is based on other members’ willingness to contribute.
4. Treatment Funding Protocol
4.1 Submission of Treatment Plan
After your initial $300 payment, your provider submits the remainder for community funding. Your cooperation rating is visible to the community at the time of your request.
4.2 Funding Window
Community funding requests remain open for a defined period (typically 14–30 days). If the amount is not fully funded during that period, treatment may be delayed, adjusted, or supplemented by the member.
4.3 Partial Funding
If your request is only partially funded, you may choose to:

Pay the remaining balance yourself

Defer treatment

Reopen the request during a future funding cycle
5. Cooperation Rating System
5.1 Purpose
To promote fairness, each member receives a cooperation rating, reflecting their history of contributing to others' care.
5.2 Visibility
Your rating is visible to the community and may influence whether others choose to contribute to your care.
5.3 Impact of Non-Cooperation
Members with low or inconsistent participation may:

Experience slower or incomplete funding

Be deprioritized in treatment queues

Be required to rebuild their rating before receiving future support
6. Cancellation and Suspension
6.1 Cancellation by Member
You may cancel your membership at any time via your account dashboard. Upon cancellation:

Your cooperation rating is reset

Any pending treatment funding is forfeited

Re-enrollment will require a waiting period and/or rating probation
6.2 Suspension or Termination
Crowd.Dental reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership for:

Fraudulent activity

Abuse of the system or providers

Harassment of staff, members, or dentists

Repeated refusal to pay the $300 minimum or membership fees
No refund will be issued for unused membership periods if terminated for cause.
7. Provider Protection and Independence
Crowd.Dental protects participating providers by:

Ensuring timely payment for services

Allowing providers to reject treatment plans that pose risk or violate ethics

Preventing member interference in clinical decisions
Members who harass or dispute providers may be removed from the platform without notice.
8. Privacy and Data
We collect and store:

Name, contact info, treatment history, contribution history, cooperation rating

No personal health records beyond treatment type and costs are shared publicly
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. Member identities are anonymized in public displays unless required by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
Crowd.Dental is a platform, not a healthcare provider. We:

Are not liable for clinical outcomes or provider errors

Do not guarantee funding for all treatments

Are not responsible for delays due to insufficient community contributions
Your membership does not constitute a contract for care.
10. Dispute Resolution
All disputes must first be submitted to Crowd.Dental Support in writing.

11. Modifications to Terms
Crowd.Dental may update these Terms & Conditions with 30 days’ notice. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance.
